Road rehabilitation, 14 kilometres
Regrading, drainage and surfacing on a provincial route, delivered two weeks before the agreed date by Example Construction Company.
The work, as it was recorded
Fourteen kilometres of provincial road regraded and resurfaced, with side drainage along the whole length and nine culvert crossings rebuilt. Two sections required retaining walls where the road runs along a slope.
Progress was measured by units complete — kilometres finished to the agreed specification — rather than by how much of the budget had been spent. Each kilometre was signed off before the next was claimed.
The project finished two weeks early. Nothing was claimed that was not measured, and a materials delay in week six was absorbed by resequencing the drainage work rather than by extending the date.

- What the project was worth is not shown here. A public page carries what was built and whether it arrived on time — the value is between the funder, the Prime and the company.
Taken while it was being built, not afterwards
Site photographs carry the time they were captured. A picture taken at handover and one taken three weeks earlier are different facts, and the record keeps them apart.
